Ghost of Yotei: Snow’s Blight Shrine Puzzle Solution

Ghost of Yotei has a bunch of secret Yotei Six Camps that players will need to uncover if they want to free Ezo from the clutches of Saito, and one of them is located in the deep north of the snowy mountain region of Teshio Ridge. In order to access the secret enemy hideout of the Teshio Ridge, players must first solve a puzzle involving fox statues in the Snow’s Blight Shrine. Below, players will be able to see the solution to this puzzle, where to find it, and just what exactly can be found inside so that Atsu’s journey across Ezo is a successful one.

How to Solve the Snow's Blight Shrine Puzzle in Ghost of Yotei

Players can find the Snow’s Blight Shrine in the north region of Teshio Ridge. Players will want to follow along the Teshio River and head west to the Teshio Coast, where they will find a large open space filled with enemies, guarding the entrance to a secret hideout. To get inside, players must first solve the puzzle, which is split into two parts. Each part has its own unlock requirement, but the basics are the same: free the fox statue and place it on the central altar to unlock the path ahead. The video above showcases the full Snow’s Blight Shrine puzzle, but we’ve outlined what you need to do below.

To the right, players will find four fox statues guarding a smaller fox figure. For this puzzle, players must rotate the fox statues in the correct positions. These positions are seen in the stone fox statues directly above the wooden fox statues. This is the correct order from left to right:

• Facing left
• Facing forward
• Facing right
• Facing backwards

After rotating the fox statues into their correct poses, the fox figurine will open up, and now players can pick it up and carry it to the podium on the right.

On the left side of the area, players will find a fire pit that holds a torch. You need to pick up the torch and light the braziers that already have a light on a chain behind them. If a brazier is lit and it shouldn’t be, simply approach it to blow it out. This is the correct order from left to right:

• Lit
• Unlit
• Lit
• Unlit

Doing so activates the mechanism to unlock the fox figurine, and now you can pick it up and place it on the left podium to activate a crawl space to the right of the front door, which players can enter to find a cave.

How to Find the Snow's Blight Hideout in Ghost of Yotei

Crawl into the cave and you will come against a steep fall, and a cliff with seemingly no way to climb forward. All you have to do is move the fox statues into their correct positions:

• Have the left fox statue facing right
• Have the right fox statue facing left

This will activate a chain that can be walked across to reach the next area. Now, with the single fox statue, make it face to the left to activate more chains so you can climb through and reach the Snow’s Blight Hideout. This is a Yotei Six Camp that has many shinobi enemies, and killing them all is necessary to proceed forward. After killing them all, head to the main courtyard to fight the boss of this area, and upon his defeat, you can venture to the left to reach the Altar to gain a new skill point and clear out the hideout for good.
